Somebody emailed me this story today, I was so touched that I cannot control my tears to fall down, read on:
I was born in a secluded village on a mountain. Day by day my parents plowed the yellow dry soil with their backs facing the sky. I have a younger brother, 3 years younger than me.
Once, to buy a handkerchief which all girls around me seemed to have, I stole 50 cents from my father?s drawer. Father knew about it right away. He made my younger brother and me kneel against the wall, with a bamboo stick in his hand.
?Who stole the money?? he asked. I was stunned, too afraid to talk. Father didn?t hear
any of us admit, so he said, ?Fine, if nobody wants to admit, you two should be beaten!?
He lifted up the bamboo stick. Suddenly, my younger brother gripped father?s hand
and said,? Dad, I was the one who did it!?
The long stick smacked on my brother?s back repeatedly.
Father was so angry that he kept on whipping my brother until he lost his breath.
After that, he sat down on our stone bed and scolded my brother, ?You have learned to steal from your own house now, what other embarrassing things you will do in the future? You should be beaten to death! You shameless thief!?
That night, mother and I hugged my brother. His body full of injuries, but he didn?t shed a single tear.
In the middle of the night, all of a sudden I cried out loudly. My brother covered my mouth with his little hand and said, ?Sis, now don?t cry anymore. Everything has happened.?
I still hate myself for I didn?t have enough courage to admit what I had done.
Years gone by, but the incident still seemed like it just happened yesterday.
I will never forget my brother?s expression when he protected me.
That year, my brother was 8 years old, I was 11 years old.
When my brother was in his last year of his lower secondary school, he was accepted in an upper secondary school in the central. At the same time, I was accepted into a province?s university.
That night, father squatted in the yard, smoking, packet by packet.
I heard him say, ?Both our children have good results? very good results??
Mother wiped off her tears and sighed,? What is the use? How can we possibly finance both of them??
At that time, my brother walked out, he stood in front of father and said,?Dad, I don?t want to continue my study anymore, I have read enough books.?
Father swung his hand and slapped brother on his face.
?Why do you have a spirit so damn weak? Even if it means I have to beg for money on the streets, I will send you two to school until you both finish your study!?
And then, he started to knock on every house in the village to borrow money.
I stuck out my hand as soft as I can to my brother?s swollen face, and said, ?A boy has to continue his studies. If not, he will not be able to leave this depths of poverty.?
Me, on the other hand, had decided not to further my study in the university.
Who knows on the next day, before dawn, my brother left the house with a few pieces of worn-out clothes and a few dry beans. He sneaked to the side of my bed and left a note on my pillow, ?Sis, getting into a university is not easy. I will go find a job and send money to you.?
I held the note while sitting on my bed, and cried until I lost my voice.
That year, my brother was 17 years old, I was 20.
With the money father borrowed from the whole village, and money my brother earned from carrying cement on his back at construction sites, finally, I managed to get to the third year of my study in the university.
One day, I was studying in my room, when my roommate came in and told me,?There?s a villager wait for you outside!? Why is there a villager looking for me? I walked out, and saw my brother from afar. His whole body is dirty, covered with dust, cement and sands. I asked him, ?Why didn?t you tell my roommate that you are my brother??
He replied with a smile,?Look at my appearance. What will they think if they know that I am your brother? Don?t they laugh at you??
I felt so touched, and tears filled my eyes. I swept away dusts from my brother?s body and said with a lump in my throat, ?I don?t care of what people say! You are my brother no matter what your appearance is!?
From his pocket, he took out a butterfly hair clip. He put it on me, and said, ?I saw all the girls in town are wearing it. So, I think you should also have one.?
I could not hold back myself anymore. I pulled my brother into my arms and cried and cried.
That year, my brother was 20 years old; I was 23.
The first time I brought my boyfriend home, the broken window had been repaired. And it looked so clean inside the house.
After, my boyfriend went home, I danced like a small girl in front of my mother, ?Mom, you don?t have to spend so many time cleaning the house!? But she said with a smile,? It was your brother who went home early to clean the house. Didn?t you see the wound on his hand? He was injured while replacing the window.?
I went into my brother?s small bedroom. Looking at his thin face, I felt like there are hundreds of needle pricked in my heart.
I put some ointment on his wound and bandaged it. ?Does it hurt?? I asked him.
?No, it doesn?t hurt. You know, when I was working in the construction site, stones fall on my feet all the time. Even that could not stop me from working.?
In the middle of the sentence, he stopped. I turned my back on him and tears roll down my face.
That year, my brother was 23 years old; I was 26.
When I got married, I lived in the city. Lots of time my husband invited my parents to come and live with us, but they didn?t want to.
They said, once they leave the village, they don?t know what to do.
My brother also didn?t agree, he said, ?Sis, you just take care of your parents-in-law. I will take care of mom and dad here.?
My husband became the director in his factory. We wanted my brother to get a job as a manager in the department of maintenance. But my brother rejected the offer. He insisted on starting to work as a reparation worker.
One day, my brother was on top of a ladder repairing a cable, when he got electrocuted, and was sent to the hospital.
My husband and I visited him. Looking at the white gypsum on his leg, I grumbled,?Why did you reject to be a manager? A manager will not do something dangerous
like this. Look at you now, such a serious injury. Why you didn?t want to listen to us??
With a serious expression on his face, he defended on his decision, ?Think of brother-in-law. He just became the director, and I?m almost uneducated. If I became the manager, what kind of rumors will fly around??
My husband?s eyes filled up with tears, and then I said, ?But you lack in education also because of me!?
?Why talk about the past?? My brother held my hand.
That year, he was 26 years old and I was 29.
My brother was 30 years old when he married a farmer girl from the village. In his wedding reception, the master of ceremonies asked him, ?Who is the one you respect and love the most??
Without thinking, he answered,? My sister.? He continued by telling a story I could not even remember.
?When I was in primary school, the school was in different village. Everyday, my sister and I walked for 2 hours to go to school and go home. One day, I lost one of my pair of gloves. My sister gave me one of hers. She only wore one glove and walked for so far. When we got home, her hand was trembling because of the weather that was so cold that she could not even hold her chopsticks. From that day on, I swore that as long as I live, I would take care of my sister and be good to her.?
Applause filled up the room. All guests turned their attentions to me.
Words were so hard to come out from my mouth, ?In my whole life, the one I would like to thank the most is my brother.?
And in this happy occasion,in front of the crowd, tears roll down my face again.
Love and care for the one you love every single day of your life. You may think what you did is just a small deed, but to that someone, it may mean a lot.
Have a nice day everyone! May this story inspire you in any way!

May I share this with you from a
friend..................
A simple man tells how his booking an air ticket for his father, his first flight, brought emotions and made him realize that how much we all take for granted when it comes to our parents.
My parents left for our native place on Thursday and we went to the airport to see them off. In fact, my father had never traveled by air before, so I just took this opportunity to make him experience the same.
In spite of being asked to book
tickets by train, I got them tickets on lufthansa.
The moment I handed over the tickets to him, he was surprised to see that I had booked them by air. The excitement was very apparent on his face, waiting for the time of travel.
Just like a school boy, he was
preparing himself on that day and we all went to the airport, right from using the trolley for his
luggage, the baggage check-in and asking for window seat and waiting restlessly for the security check-in to happen. He was thoroughly enjoying himself and I, too, was overcome with joy
watching him experience all these
things.
As they were about to go in for the security check-in, he walked up to me with tears in his eyes and thanked me. He became very emotional and it was not as if I had done something great but the fact that this meant a great deal to him.
When he said thanks, I told him there was no need to thank me.
But later, thinking about the entire incident, I looked back at my life.
As a child how many dreams our
parents have made come true. Without understanding the financial situation, we ask for football, dresses, toys, outings, etc. Irrespective of their affordability ,they have satisfied to all our needs. Did we ever think about the sacrifices they
had to make to accommodate many of our wishes?
Did we ever say thanks for all that they have done for us?
Same way, today when it comes to our children, we always think that we should put them in a good school.
Regardless of the amount of donation, we will ensure that we will have to give the child the best, theme parks, toys, etc. But we tend to forget that our parents have sacrificed
a lot for our sake to see us happy, so it is our responsibility to ensure that their dreams are realized and what they failed to see when they were young, it is our responsibility to ensure that they experience all those and their life is complete.
Many times, when my parents had asked me some questions, I have actually answered back without patience. When my daughter asks me something, I have been very polite in answering. Now I realize how they would have felt at those moments.
Let us realize that old age is a
second childhood and just as we take care of our children, the same
attention and same care need to be given to our parents and elders.
Rather than my dad saying thank you to me, I would want to say sorry for making him wait so long for this small dream. I do realize how much he has sacrificed for my sake and I will do my best to give the best possible attention to all their wishes. Just because they are old does not mean that they will have to give up everything and keep sacrificing
for their grandchildren also. They
have wishes, too.
Take care of your parents.

A mouse looked through the crack in the wall to see the farmer and his wife open a package.
"What food might this contain?" The mouse wondered - he was
devastated to discover it was a mousetrap.
Retreating to the farmyard, the mouse proclaimed the warning: "There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!"
The chicken clucked and cratched, raised her head and said, "Mr. Mouse, I can tell this is a grave concern to you, but it is of no consequence to me. I cannot be bothered by it."
The mouse turned to the lamb and told him, "There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!"
The lamb sympathized, but said, "I am so very sorry, Mr. Mouse, but there is nothing I can do about it but pray. Be assured you are in my prayers."
The mouse turned to the cow and said "There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!"
The cow said, "Wow, Mr. Mouse. I'm sorry for you, but it's no skin
off my nose."
So, the mouse returned to the house, head down and dejected, to face the farmer's mousetrap alone.
That very night a sound was heard throughout the house -- like the sound of a mousetrap catching its prey.
The farmer's wife rushed to see what was caught. In the darkness, she did not see it was a venomous snake whose tail the trap had caught.
The snake bit the farmer's wife. The farmer rushed her to the
hospital, and she returned home with a fever. Everyone knows you
treat a fever with fresh chicken soup, so the farmer took his hatchet to the farmyard for the soup's main ingredient.
But his wife's sickness continued, so friends and neighbors came to sit with her around the clock. To feed them, the farmer butchered the lamb.
The farmer's wife did not get well; she died. So many people came for her funeral, the farmer had the cow slaughtered to provide enough meat for all of them.
The mouse looked upon it all from his crack in the wall with great sadness.
So, the next time you hear someone is facing a problem and think it doesn't concern you, remember -- when one of us is threatened, we are all at risk.
We are all involved in this journey called life. We must keep an eye out for one another and make an extra effort to encourage one another.

Salaam brothers and sisters, here I am again sharing this lovely story that made me cry:
A man came home from work late, tired and irritated, to find his 5-year old son waiting for him at the door.
"Daddy, may I ask you a question?"
"Yeah sure, what is it?" replied the man.
"Daddy, how much do you make an hour?"
"That is none of your business. Why do you ask such a thing?" the man said angrily.
"I just want to know. Please tell me, how much do you make an hour?" pleaded the little boy.
"If you must know, I make $20 an hour."
"Oh," the little boy replied, with his head down. Looking up, he said, "Daddy, may I please borrow $10?"
The father was furious, "If the only reason you asked that is so you can borrow some money to buy a silly toy or some other nonsense, then you march yourself straight to your room and go to bed. Think about why you are being so selfish. I work long hard hours everyday and don't have time for such this childish behavior!"
The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door.
The man sat down and started to get even angrier about the little boy's questions. How dare he ask such questions only to get some money? After about an hour or so, the man had calmed down, and started to think he may have been a little hard on his son. Maybe there was something he really needed to buy with that $10 and he really didn't ask for money very often.
The man went to the door of the little boy's room and opened the door.
"Are you asleep, son?" he asked.
"No daddy, I'm awake," replied the boy.
"I've been thinking, maybe I was too hard on you earlier," said the man. "It's been a long day and I took out my aggravation on you. Here's the $10 you asked for."
The little boy sat straight up, smiling. "Oh, thank you daddy!" he yelled. Then, reaching under his pillow he pulled out some crumpled up bills.
The man, seeing that the boy already had money, started to get angry again.
The little boy slowly counted out his money, then looked up at his father.
"Why do you want more money if you already have some?" the father grumbled.
"Because I didn't have enough, but now I do," the little boy replied. "Daddy, I have $20 now. Can I buy an hour of your time? Please come home early tomorrow. I would like to have dinner with you."
When I finished reading this story, I counted how many hours did we spend with my son a day and fortunately Alhamdulillah, we have too much time for him. I am working 6 and half hours a day and by the time I reached home, I want to sleep but I always make sure that I have enough time to play with my son. He has nanny but whenever I am at home, I will let his nanny rest for a while and take care of him as much as I can unless I am not feelig well. I cooked his foods, prepared his juice and milk, fed him, bathed him, changed his diapers and watched cartoon shows with him.

A story is told about a King in Africa who had a close friend that he grew up with. The friend had a habit of looking at every situation that ever occurred in his life (positive or negative) by remarking, "This is good, Allah Almighty knows best" One day the King and his friend were out on a hunting expedition. The friend would load and prepare the guns for the King. The friend had apparently done something wrong in preparing one of the guns, for after taking the gun from his friend, the King fired it and his thumb was blown off. Examining the situation the friend remarked as usual, "This is good! Allah Almighty knows best." To which the King replied, "No, this is NOT good!" and ordered his soldiers to put his friend into jail. About a year later, the King was hunting
in an area that he should have known to stay clear of. Cannibals captured the King and took him to their village. They tied his hands, stacked some wood, set up a stake and bound him to t! he stake. As they came near to set fire to the wood, they noticed that the King was missing a thumb. Being superstitious, they never ate anyone who was less
than whole. So after untying the King, they chased him out of the village.
When the King reached his Palace, he was reminded of the event that had taken his thumb and felt remorse for his treatment of his friend. He went immediately to the jail to speak with his friend.
"You were right" the King said, "it was good that my thumb was blown off." And he proceeded to tell the friend all that had just happened. "I am very sorry for sending you to jail for so long. It was bad for me to do this." "No," his friend replied, "this is good...Allah Almighty knows best" "What do you mean, 'this is good'! How could it be good that I sent my friend to jail for a year?"
The King's friend replied: "Remember that the Almighty knows best and if I had NOT been in jail, I would have been with you on that hunting trip."
"He knows what is before them And what is behind them: And to Allah go back All questions (for decision)" Qur'an:Surah Al Hajj 22:76

A brother in Saudi Arabia went to pray in one of the mosques there. After the prayer a sheikh (the one clean corpses) there stood up and said he wants to tell a story. He said he and his friends left Riyadh to travel to another town. They were going on a trip to Dammam. He swears by the One that they were leaving
to do things that Allah does not accept (sins).
He says they passed by a sign that says Dammam 300 Km. His friends said 300 Km to Dammam but he said that he reads Hell
300 Km. His friends laughed at him but he was serious. They continue and then comes another sign saying Dammam 200 Km.
He looks and again it says Hell 200 Km. He told his friends and they told him to stop and not spoil the trip. The sign Dammam 100 Km appeared and again he saw it Hell 100 Km. He asked them to drop him here because he doesn't want to continue this strange trip. His heart was giving strange beats. He felt strange.
He left them and crossed the highway to the other side to go back to Riyadh. He waited to get a lift for a while. A man stopped and picked him up. The man looked very sad. Our friend wanted to change this guys mood so he started to laugh with him and then asked what was wrong. He said I passed by a car
accident and never in my life have I seen one worse in my life. He described a car similar to that of his friends. It was his friends all dead.
He left Riyadh with the intention of sinning and returned with the intention of never sinning Allah Almighty. He told the people listening in the mosque that
you all tell yourselves that you are still young. He said he was lucky because Allah Almighty gave him an example. He told them but Allah might give your friends an example of your
evil death.
So brothers and sisters lets not wait for Allah's blessings come to us. Lets go and reach out for Allah and make our deaths a good example for our friends
not an evil one. May Allah give us a good death. Ameen.

I just wanted to share this to you
guys...
Father passing by his teenage
daughter's bedroom was atonished to see the bed was nicely made and everything was neat and tidy. Then he saw an envelope propped up prominently
on the centre of the pillow. It was
addressed "Dad". With the worst
premonition, he opened the envelope and read the letter with trembling hands:-
Dear Dad,
It is with great regret and sorrow
that I'm writing you, but I'm leaving home.I had to elope with my new boyfriend Randy because I wanted to avoid a scene with Mom and you. I've been finding real passion with Randy and he is so nice to me. I know when
you meet him you'll like him too -
even with all his piercing, tattoos, and motorcycle clothes. But it's not only the passion.
Dad, I'm pregnant and Randy said that he wants me to have the kid and that we can be very happy together.
Even though Randy is much older than me (anyway,42 isn't so old these days is it?),and has no money, really these things shouldn't stand in the way of our relationship, don't you agree?
Randy has a great CD collection; he already owns a trailer in the woods and has a stack of firewood for the whole winter. It's true he has other girlfriends as well but I know he'll be faithful to me in his own way. He
wants to have many more children with me and that's now one of my dreams too. Randy taught me that marijuana
doesn't really hurt anyone and he'll be growing it for us and we'll trade it with our friends for all the cocaine and ecstasy we want. In the meantime, we'll pray that science will find a cure for AIDS so Randy can get better; he sure deserves it!!
Don't worry Dad, I'm 15 years old now and I know how to take care of myself. Someday I'm sure we'll be back to visit so you can get to know your grandchildren.
Your loving daughter,
Rosie.
At the bottom of the page were the letters "PTO". Hands still trembling, her father turned the sheet, and read:
PS: Dad, none of the above is true. I'm over at the neighbour's house.I just wanted to remind you that there are worse things in life than my report card that's in my desk centre drawer. Please sign it and call when it is safe for me to come home. I love
you!!!

Salam alaykum.... brothers and
sisters, this story is really
important for us in this Eid and we
have to do what Prophet Mohammed use
to do in Eid, this story is about an
orphan child....
the story called (An Orphan's
Eid)....enjoy
It was the day of celebration and a
day of rejoicing. There was an air of
festivity in the streets of Madinah.
All the people, both young and old
were dressed in their best clothes,
especially for this special day of
Eid.
As it was time for early morning Eid
prayers everyone made their way to an
open piece of land on the outskirts of
the city. The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)
arrived and led the prayers. After
they had finished they all greeted
each other and everyone was walking
back home. The children running and
playing in excitement, smiling and
laughing, without a care in the world.
As the Prophet (pbuh) walked back
home, he suddenly became aware of a
little boy (Zuhair Bin Saghir) sitting
by himself on the side of the path.
The little boy was crying and looked
very sad. The Prophet (pbuh) bent down
and patted him on the shoulders and
asked 'why are you crying?' 'Please
leave me alone' sobbed the little boy.
The boy didn't even see who was
talking to him. The Prophet (pbuh) ran
his fingers through the boy's hair and
very gently and kindly asked him again
why he was crying. This time the boy
said, 'My father was martyred
fighting, and now my mother has
married again and my stepfather does
not want me to live at home any more.
Today is Eid and everyone is happy.
All the children have new clothes and
nice things to eat, but I don't have
any clothes except what I am wearing.
I have no food and I don't even have a
place to live.'
The Prophet (pbuh) said to him, 'I
know how you feel, I lost both my
mother and father when I was a little
boy.' The boy was surprised to hear
that it was an orphan who was
comforting him, and when he looked up
to his great surprise it was the
Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), and he
immediately jumped up to his feet out
of love and respect.
The Prophet (pbuh) said to him 'If I
were to become your new father and
Ayesha you new mother, and Fatima your
new sister, would that make you feel
better?' 'Oh yes, that would be the
best thing in the world!' The boy
started smiling. The Prophet took him
home and gave him new clothes and good
food on this beautiful day of Eid. The
boy indeed had a wonderful Eid that
day.
We should think of others that are
less fortunate than ourselves on this
beautiful day of Eid. Not everyone has
such a wonderful day. It is a day of
celebration, but take a moment to stop
and think of those who are less
fortunate than ourselves.
HAPPY EID AL ADHA AL MUBARAK TO ALL OF
US.

I just read this in a mail, though i'd share that with you all !
An atheist professor of philosophy speaks to his class on the problem science has with God, The Almighty. He asks one of his new students to stand and.....
Professor: You are a believer, aren't you, son?
Student : Yes, sir.
Prof: So you believe in God?
Student : Absolutely, sir.
Prof: Is God good?
Student : Sure.
Prof: Is God all-powerful?
Student : Yes.
Prof: My brother died of cancer even though he prayed to God to heal! him. Most of us would attempt to help others who are ill. But God didn't. How is this God good then? Hmm?
Student is silent.)
Prof: You can't answer, can you? Let's start again, young fella. Is God good?
Student :Yes.
Prof: Is Satan good?
Student : No.
Prof: Where does Satan come from?
Student : From...God...
Prof: That's right. Tell me son, is there evil in this world?
Student : Yes.
Prof: Evil is everywhere, isn't it? And God did make everything. Correct?
Student : Yes.
Prof: So who created evil?
(Student does not answer.)
Prof: Is there sickness? Immorality? Hatred? Ugliness? All these terrible things exist in the world, don't they?
Student :Yes, sir.
Prof: So, who created them?
(Student has no answer.)
Prof: Science says you have 5 senses you use to identify and observe the world around you. Tell me, son...Have you ever seen God?
Student: No, sir.
Prof: Tell us if you have ever heard your God?
Student : No , sir.
Prof: Have you ever felt your God, tasted your God, smelt your God? Have you ever had any sensory perception of God for that matter?
Student : No, sir. I'm afraid I haven't.
Prof: Yet you still believe in Him?
Student : Yes.
Prof: According to empirical, testable, demonstrable
protocol, science says your GOD doesn't exist.
What do you say to that, son?
Stu! dent : Nothing. I only have my faith.
Prof: Yes. Faith. And that is the problem science has.
Student : Professor, is there such a thing as heat?
Prof: Yes.
Student : And is there such a thing as cold?
Prof: Yes.
Student : No sir. There isn't.
(The lecture theatre becomes very quiet with this turn of events.)
Student : Sir, you can have lots of heat, even more heat, superheat, mega heat, white heat, a little heat or no heat. But we don't have anything called cold.
We can hit 458 degrees below zero which is no heat, but we can't go any further after that. There is no such thing as cold. Cold is only a word we use to describe the absence of heat. We cannot measure cold. Heat is energy. Cold is not the opposite of heat,
sir, just the absence of it. There is pin-drop silence in the lecture theatre.)
Student : What about darkness, Professor? Is there such a thing as darkness?
Prof: Yes. What is night if there isn't darkness?
Student : You're wrong again, sir. Darkness is the absence of something. You can have low light, normal light, bright light, flashing light....But if you have no light constantly, you have nothing and it's called darkness, isn't it? In reality, darkness isn't. If it were you would be able to make darkness darker, wouldn't you?
Prof: So what is the point you are making, young man?
Student : Sir, my point is your philosophical premise is flawed.
Prof: Flawed? Can you explain how?
Student : Sir, you are working on the premise of duality. You argue there is life and then
there is death, a good God and a bad God. You are viewing the concept of God as
something finite, something we can measure. Sir, science can't even explain a thought.
It uses electricity and magnetism, but has never seen, much less fully understood
either one. To view death as the opposite of life is to be ignorant of the fact that death cannot exist as a substantive thing. Death is not the opposite of life: just the absence of
it. !!! Now tell me, Professor. Do you teach your students that they evolved from a monkey?
Prof: If you are referring to the natural evolutionary process, yes, of course, I do.
Student : Have you ever observed evolution with your own eyes, sir?
(The Professor shakes his head with a smile, beginning
to realize where the argument is going.)
Student : Since no one has ever observed the process of evolution at work and cannot even prove that this process is an on-going endeavor, are you not teaching your opinion, sir? Are you not a scientist but a preacher?
(The class is in uproar.)
Student : Is there anyone in the class who has ever seen the Professor's brain?
(The class breaks out into laughter.)
Student : Is there anyone here who has ever heard the Professor's brain, felt it, touched or smelt it?.....No one appears to have done so. So, according to the established rules of
empirical, stable, demonstrable protocol, science says that you have no brain, sir.
With all due respect, sir, how do we then trust your lectures, sir?
(The room is silent. The professor stares at the student, his face unfathomable.)
Prof: I guess you'll have to take them on faith, son.
Student : That is it sir.. The link between man & god is FAITH.
That is all that keeps things moving & alive.
Prof: My brother died of cancer even though he prayed to God to heal! him. Most o more...

There was a man who had four sons. He wanted his sons to learn not to judge things too quickly. So he sent them each on a quest, in turn, to go and look at a pear tree that was a great distance away.
The first son went in the winter, the second in the spring, the third in summer , and the youngest son in the fall.
When they had all gone and come back, he called them together to describe
what they had seen.
The first son said that the tree was ugly, bent, and twisted.
The second son said no it was covered with green buds and full of promise.
The third son disagreed; he said it was laden with blossoms that
smelled so sweet and looked so beautiful, it was the most graceful thing he had ever seen.
The last son disagreed with all of them; he said it was ripe and
drooping with fruit, full of life and fulfillment.
The man then explained to his sons that they were all right, because they had each seen but only one season in the tree's life.
He told them that you cannot judge a tree, or a person, by only one season, and that the essence of who they are and the pleasure, joy, and love that come from that life can only be measured at the end, when all the seasons are up.
If you give up when it's winter, you will miss the promise of your
spring, the beauty of your summer, thr fulfillment of your fall.
Moral:
>Don't let the pain of one season destroy the joy of all the rest.
Don't judge life by one difficult season.
Persevere through the difficult patches and better times are sure to come some time or later Insha Allah.
Thanks for having time to read, I hope you learned something from this.

One day, a poor boy who was selling goods from door to door to pay his way through school, found he had only one thin dime left, and he was hungry.
He decided he would ask for a meal at the next house. However, he lost his nerve when a lovely young woman opened the door. Instead of a meal he asked for a drink of water. She thought he looked hungry so brought him a large glass of milk. He drank it slowly, and then asked, "How much do I owe you?"
"You don't owe me anything," she replied. "Mother has taught us never to accept pay for a kindness." He said..... "Then I thank you from my heart."
Year's later that young woman became critically ill. The local doctors were baffled. They finally sent her to the big city, where they called in specialists to study her rare disease. Dr. Howard Kelly was called in for the consultation. When he heard the name of the town she came from, a strange light filled his eyes. Immediately he rose and went down the hall of the hospital to her room. Dressed in his doctor's gown he went in to see her. He recognized her at once. He went back to the consultation room determined to do his best to save her life. From that day he gave special attention to the case.
After a long struggle, the battle was won. Dr. Kelly requested the business office to pass the final bill to him for approval. He looked at it, then wrote something on the edge and the bill was sent to her room. The woman feared to open it, for she was sure it would take the rest of her life to pay for it all.
Finally she looked, and something caught her attention on the side of the bill.
She read these words..... "Paid in full with one glass of milk"
(Signed) Dr. Howard Kelly.
Tears of joy flooded her eyes as her happy heart prayed: "Thank You, God, that Your love has spread abroad through human hearts and hands."

A little boy came up to his mother in the kitchen one evening while she was fixing supper, and he handed her a piece of paper that he had been writing on. After his mom dried her hands on an apron, she read it, and this is what it said:
For cutting the grass: $5.00
For cleaning up my room this week: $1.00
For going to the store for you: $.50
Baby-sitting my kid brother while you went shopping: $.25
Taking out the garbage: $1.00
For getting a good report card: $5.00
For cleaning up and raking the yard: $2.00
Total owed: $14.75
Well, his mother looked at him standing there, and the boy could see the memories flashing through her mind. She picked up the pen, turned over the paper he'd written on, and this is what she wrote:
For the nine months I carried you while you were growing inside me: No Charge.
For all the nights that I've sat up with you, doctored and prayed for you: No Charge.
For all the trying times, and all the tears that you've caused through the years: No Charge.
For all the nights filled with dread, and for the worries I knew were ahead: No Charge.
For the toys, food, clothes, and even wiping your nose: No Charge.
When you add it up, the cost of my love is: No Charge.
When the boy finished reading what his mother had written, there were big tears in his eyes, and he looked straight up at his mother and said, "Mom, I sure do love you."
And then he took the pen and in great big letters he wrote: "PAID IN FULL".

One night there was a woman at the airport who had to wait for several hours before catching her next flight. While she waited she bought a book and a pack of biscuits to spend the time. She looked for a place to sit and waited.
She was deep into her book, when suddenly she realized that there was a young man sitting next to her who was stretching his hand, with no concern whatsoever, and grabbing the pack of cookies lying between them. He started to eat them one by one.
Not wanting to make a fuss about it she decided to ignore him. The woman, slightly bothered, ate the cookies and watched the clock, while the young and shameless thief of biscuits was also finishing them. The woman started to get really angry at this point and thought "If I wasn't such a good and educated person, I would have given this daring man a black eye by now."
Every time she ate a biscuit, he had one too. The dialogue between their eyes continued and when only one biscuit was left, she wondered what was he going to do. Softly and with a nervous smile, the young man grabbed the last biscuit and broke it in two. He offered one half to the woman while he ate the other half.
Briskly she took the biscuit and thought, "What an insolent man! How uneducated! He didn't even thank me!" She had never met anybody so fresh and sighed relieved to hear her flight announced. She grabbed her bags and went towards the boarding gate refusing to look back to where that insolent thief was seated.
After boarding the plane and nicely seated, she looked for her book which was nearly finished by now. While looking into her bag she was totally surprised to find her pack of biscuits nearly intact. "If my biscuits are here", she thought feeling terribly, "those others were his and he tried to share them with me." Too late to apologize to the young man, she realized with pain, that it was her who had been insolent, uneducated and a thief, and not him.
How many times in our lives, had we know with certainty that something happened in a certain way, only to discover later that it wasn't true?
How many times has our lack of trust within us made us judge other people unfairly with our conceited ideas, often far away from reality.

Here's another nice story - " An 80 year old man was sitting on the sofa in his house along with his 45 years old highly educated son. Suddenly a crow perched on their window. The Father asked his Son, "What is this?" The Son replied "It is a crow". After a few minutes, the Father asked his Son the 2nd time, "What is this?" The Son said "Father, I have just now told you "It's a crow". After a little while, the old Father again asked his Son the 3rd time, What is this?" At this time some ex-pression of irritation was felt in the Son's tone when he said to his Father with a rebuff. "It's a crow, a crow". A little after, the Father again asked his Son t he 4th time, "What is this?" This time the Son shouted at his Father, "Why do you keep asking me the same question again and again, although I have told you so many times 'IT IS A CROW'. Are you not able to understand this?" A little later the Father went to his room and came back with an old tattered diary, which he had maintained since his Son was born. On opening a page, he asked his Son to read that page. When the son read it, the following words were written in the diary :- "Today my little son aged three was sitting with me on the sofa, when a crow was sitting on the window. My Son asked me 23 times what it was, and I replied to him all 23 times that it was a Crow. I hugged him lovingly each time h e asked me the same question again and again for 23 times. I did not at all feel irritated I rather felt affection for my innocent child". While the little child asked him 23 times "What is this", the Father had felt no irritation in replying to the same question all 23 times and when today the Father asked his Son the same question just 4 times, the Son felt irritated and annoyed.

A very nice story- A young man was getting ready to graduate college. For many months he had admired a beautiful sports car in a dealer's showroom, and knowing his father could well afford it, he told him that was all he wanted. As Graduation Day approached, the young man waited signs that his father had purchased the car. Finally, on the morning of his graduation his father called him into his private study. His father told him how proud he was to have such a fine son, and told him how much he loved him. He handed his son a beautiful wrapped gift box. Curious, but somewhat disappointed the young man opened the box and found a lovely, leather-bound Quran. Angrily, he raised his voice at his father and said "With all your money you give me a Quran?" and stormed out of the house, leaving the holy book. Many years passed and the young man was very successful in business. He had a beautiful home and wonderful family, but realized his father was very old, and thought perhaps he should go to him. He had not seen him since that graduation day. Before he could make arrangements, he received a telegram telling him his father had passed away, and willed all of his possessions to his son. He needed to come home immediately and take care things. When he arrived at his father's house, sudden sadness and regret filled his heart. He began to search his father's important papers and saw the still new Quran, just as he had left it years ago. With tears, he opened the Quran and began to turn the pages. As he read those words, a car key dropped from an envelope taped behind the Quran. It had a tag with the dealer's name, the same dealer who had the sports car he had desired. On the tag was the date of his graduation, and the words...PAID IN FULL. How many times do we miss ALLAH blessings because they are not packaged as we expected?

Here's another nice and interesting story: A long time ago in China, a girl named Li-Li got married and went to live with her husband and mother-in-law. In a very short time, Li-Li found that she couldn't get along with her mother-in-law at all. Their personalities were very different, and Li-Li was angered by many of her mother-in-law's habits. In addition, she criticised Li-Li constantly. Days passed days, and weeks passed weeks. Li-Li and her mother-in-law never stopped arguing and fighting. But what made the situation even worse was that, according to ancient Chinese tradition, Li-Li had to bow to her mother-in-law and obey her every wish. All the anger and unhappiness in the house was causing Li-Li's poor husband great distress. Finally, Li-Li could not stand her mother-in-law's bad temper and dictatorship any longer, and she decided to do something about it. Li-Li went to see her father's good friend, Mr. Huang, who sold herbs. She told him the situation and asked if he would give her some poison so that she could solve the problem once and for all. Mr. Huang thought for a while, and finally said, Li-Li, I will help you solve your problem, but you must listen to me and obey what I tell you. Li-Li said, "Yes, Mr. Huang, I will do whatever you tell me to do." Mr.Huang went into the back room, and returned in a few minutes with a package of herbs. He told Li-Li, "You can't use a quick-acting poison to get rid of your mother-in-law, because that would cause people to become suspicious. Therefore, I have given you a number of herbs that will slowly build up poison in her body. Every other day prepare some delicious meal and put a little of these herbs in her serving. Now, in order to make sure that nobody suspects you when she dies, you must be very careful to act very friendly towards her. Don't argue with her, obey her every wish, and treat her like a queen." Li-Li was so happy. She thanked Mr. Huang and hurried home to start her plot of murdering her mother-in-law. Weeks went by, and months went by, and every other day, Li-Li served the specially treated food to her mother-in-law. She remembered what Mr.Huang had said about avoiding suspicion, so she controlled her temper, obeyed her mother-in-law, and treated her like her own mother. After six months had passed, the whole household had changed. Li-Li had practiced controlling her temper so much that she found that she almost never got mad or upset. She hadn't had an argument with her mother-in-law in six months because she now seemed much kinder and easier to get along with. The mother-in-law's attitude toward Li-Li changed, and she began to love Li-Li like her own daughter. She kept telling friends and relatives that Li-Li was the best daughter-in-law one could ever find. Li-Li and her mother-in-law were now treating each other like a real mother and daughter. Li-Li's husband was very happy to see what was happening. One day, Li-Li came to see Mr. Huang and asked for his help again. She said, "Dear Mr. Huang, please help me to keep the poison from killing my mother-in-law! She's changed into such a nice woman, and I love her like my own mother. I do not want her to die because of the poison I gave her." Mr. Huang smiled and nodded his head. "Li-Li, there's nothing to worry about. I never gave you any poison. The herbs I gave you were vitimans to improve her health. The only poison was in your mind and your attitude toward her, but that has been all washed away by the love which you gave to her."

The story goes back some time ago, a man punished his 3-year-old daughter for wasting a roll of gold wrapping paper. Money was tight and he became infuriated when the child tried to decorate a box. Nevertheless, the little girl brought the gift to her father the next morning and said, ?This is for you, Abba (Daddy).? The man was embarrassed by his earlier over reaction, but his anger flared again when he found out the box was empty. He yelled at her, stating, ?Don?t you know, when you give someone a present, there is supposed to be something inside? The little girl looked up at him with tears in her eyes and cried, ?Oh, Abba, it?s not empty at all. I blew kisses into the box. They?re all for you, Abba.? The father was crushed. He put his arms around his little girl, and he begged for her forgiveness. Only a short time later, an accident took the life of the child. It is also told that her father kept that gold box by his bed for many years and, whenever he was discouraged, he would take out an imaginary kiss and remember the love of the child who had put it there. In a very real sense, each one of us, as humans beings, have been given a gold container filled with unconditional love and kisses? from our children, family members, friends, and God. There is simply no other possession, anyone could hold, more precious than this.

Assalamu Alaykum...here's another thouching story again,I hope you will like it: "my mom only had one eye.. i hated the fact that i had to be stuck with a retard for a mother. i hated her... she was such an embarressment.. my mom ran a small shop at a flea market. she collected little weeds and such to sell... anything for the money we needed she was such an embarressment. there was this one day during elementary school.. it was field day, and my mom came. i was so embarressed. how could she do this to me? i threw her a hateful look and ran out. the next day at school... "your mom's a retard with one eye?!?!" ..and they taunted me. i wished that my mom would just dissappear from this world so i said to my mom, "mom.. why dont you have the other eye?! if you're only gonna make me a laughingstock, why dont you just die?!!!" my mom did not respond.. i guess i felt a little bad, but at the same time, it felt good to think that i had said what i'd wanted to say all this time.. maybe it was because my mom hadnt punished me, but i didnt think that i had hurt her feelings very badly. that night... i woke up, and went to the kitchen to get a glass of water. my mom was crying there, so quietly, as if she was afraid that she might wake me. i took a look at her, then turned away. because of the thing i had said to her earlier, there was something pinching at me in the corner of my heart. even so, i hated my mother who was crying out of her one eye. so i told myself that i would grow up and become successful. cause i hated my one-eyed mom and our desperate poverty.. then i studied real hard. i left my mother and came to Seoul and studied, and got accepted in the Seoul University with all the confidence i had. then, i got married. i bought a house of my own. then i had kids, too.. now i'm living happily as a successful man. i like it here because it's a place that doesnt remind me of my mom. this happiness was getting bigger and bigger, when.. what?! who's this?! ...it was my mother... ..still with her one eye. it felt as if the whole sky was falling apart on me. my little girl ran away, scared of my mom's eye. and i asked her, "who are you?!" "i dont know you!!!" as if trying to make that real. i screamed at her," how dare you come to my house and scare my daughter!" "GET OUT OF HERE! NOW!!!" and to this, my mother quietly answered, "oh, i'm so sorry. i may have gotten the wrong address," and she dissappeared out of sight. thank good ness... she doesnt recognize me.. i was quite relieved. i told myself that i wasnt going to care, or think about this for the rest of my life. then a wave of relief came upon me... one day, a letter regarding a school reunion came to my house. so, lying to my wife that i was going on a business trip, i went. after the reunion, i went down to the old shack, that i used to call a house...just out of curiosity there, i found my mother fallen on the cold ground. but i did not shed a single tear. she had a piece of paper in her hand.... it was a letter to me. my son... i think my life has been long enough now.. and... i wont visit Seoul anymore... but would it be too much to ask if i wanted you to come visit me once in a while? i miss you so much.. and i was so glad when i heard you were coming for the reunion. but i decided not to go to the school. ...for you... and i'm sorry that i only have one eye, and i was an embarressment for you. you see, when you were very little, you got into an accident, and lost your eye. as a mom, i couldnt stand watching you having to grow up with only one eye... so i gave you mine... i was so proud of my son that was seeing a whole new wolrd for me, in my place, with that eye. i was never upset at you for anything you did.. the couple times that you were angry with me,.. i thought to myself, 'it's because he loves me..' my son... oh, my son... i dont want you to cry for me, because of my death. please dont cry.... my son, i love you so much. something gripped the corner of my heart. and tears were flowing from the eye that my mother had given me.. my mom... my loving mom... such simple words as 'i love you', that i never told her... such simple things as buying my mom a dinner. such simple things as buying her pretty clothes... that i never did... and still, my mom loved me til her very end.... im sorry.. it wasnt my mom that was the retard with one eye... it was me, that.... all these things i realized too late... mother, please forgive me... mother, im sorry... im so sorry.....
